#Repost @theunforgottensouls with @get_repost・・・Fun fact! Did you know that in 2019 The Unforgotten Souls arranged for close to 250 dogs to be spayed or neutered? That may not sound like a lot, but... If the average canine litter size is about five pups (obviously this can vary - we have seen quite a few larger litters come through!), and if theoretically half of the dogs that were fixed were female (this is just a guess but bear with us!)... that means that feasibly 625 puppies were prevented from entering the world this year. If we repeat the scenario, that’s over 1500 puppies the next year, and so on! See the huge impact spay/neuter can make?! Obviously we love dogs and puppies more than anyone, but when they’re being senselessly euthanized EVERY DAY in shelters across the U.S. due to lack of space, we know we don’t need to contribute to making more of them. Altering these dogs cost our little group close to $20K. We also spent about $5K last year on flea meds, heartworm preventative, and wormer... treating over 500 dogs! This is huge for a tiny group that exists solely on donations. If you’d like to contribute to our cause to reduce overpopulation and senseless euthanasia, as well as make life a little better for the shelter dogs we help, please consider donating to The Unforgotten Souls: • PayPal: theunforgottensouls@gmail.com • Venmo: @Unforgotten17 • Website: https://www.theunforgottensouls.com/donate • FB fundraiser: https://facebook.com/donate/565264624079688/…Thank you!(Please note: puppy photos for enjoyment purposes only 😛 - none of these pups are currently in need!) ... She's beautiful. She could be our Gabby's sister. Every family should have a pup or two or five. 🥰

#Repost @susiesseniordogs with @get_repost・・・CHATTANOOGA, TN: This pretty Baby girl is wondering why on earth nobody can see how amazing she?! Baby was surrendered to the shelter in October 2019 when her former family was moving, and it's been a long four months for this people-pleasing girl. Baby is a calm companion who can sense the emotions of the humans around her and she loves to snuggle up close, especially if you've had a bad day. Baby will be your reason to go on a long walk together, to help you ease all those frustrations and woes. Baby is located in #Tennessee and her shelter is willing to work with transport for an approved, responsible adopter! PLEASE SHARE! 🥒@heschatt wrote, "Baby is a very sweet boxer mix who is 8 years young. She was surrendered to the shelter because her owners were moving and couldn’t take her with them. Baby is easy to walk, knows 'sit' (for a treat, lol), loves to snuggle, and seems very in tune to people's feelings. Baby loves long walks and then to snuggle up or take a nap in the sun. Baby is good with children of all ages. Baby passed all of our assessment tests with flying colors; she has no issues with dog reactivity, food aggression, toy and treat aggression, or touch (paws, ears, teeth). She has participated in play groups, and although she did well, it just didn’t seem to interest her very much. She can, and has been around other dogs, but does not react well when they get in 'her space.' Given time, it may be possible that Baby could live with another calm dog, but for now, she would do best in home where she is the only pet. We cat tested Baby and she failed the cat test, but who needs a silly old cat anyway. Baby is a healthy senior, overall. Her adoption fee is $35, which includes all age appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter, and microchip. Adopters need to fill out an adoption application to be approved by staff. We prefer you meet the dog in person prior to adoption, but we’ve made exceptions in the past and transport is possible, with help, to the right home."
