My Story

Are you afraid to go to the bathroom by yourself?  Or perhaps you are scared to go into the other room, even though you were just in there?  If so, Steiner is your man!  He is super loving and affectionate, and will follow you anywhere you go just to make sure you are ok.  Steiner loves to sit on top of you but if he must sit beside you he enjoys sitting upright like a little human.  He is so goofy!  Steiner loves his canine foster sisters and plays well with other dogs. He enjoys sitting on or touching his foster sisters as well.  He has great manners and listens well but has no real concept of personal space, lol.  Steiner is young, around 1.5-2 and a perfect medium size around 45 lbs.  He loves to play fetch and knows “drop-it” and “leave-it”!  Steiner knows other commands like “sit”, “lay down” and “stay”.  He is such a smart boy!

This little man hasn’t had the best start in life.  Steiner came into a shelter banged up and with a broken leg.  They believe he was hit by a car.  A good samaritan found our little man in a snow filled ditch and took him in.  On top of the his broken leg and all the bumps and bruises from the car accident, poor Steiner had mange.  The mange is all better and he had surgery to fix the broken leg and he has made great progress.  His leg isn’t 100% yet but he continues to get treatment for it.  We hope to have him as good as new very soon. Even with all the bad stuff, Steiner remained as sweet and loving as ever!  He is going to make the perfect addition to a very lucky family!!

Hope Animal Rescue has all the info on this boy!
