My Story

My name is Lola! I am a black lab mix who found my way to a shelter right after a big hurricane named Michael came through my town. It was sad but I’m finding that Durham is a great place! I’m a pretty low-key kind of girl, but I’m also up for anything. My folks say I’m about 6 or 7 years old.

I love walks on the Ellerbe Creek trail, as well as people and dog watching at Motorco. I’m really good at making human friends. I’ve never met a dog I didn’t like…except for one time when I saw my evil twin in the mirror. I’m not really into toys or tennis balls – I much prefer to cuddle on the couch or outside exploring. If you give me belly rubs, I’ll love you forever. I’m definitely a people dog! I’m so much happier when my people are home and I can be on the couch. But, I know sometimes I have to nap in my crate and I’m okay with that. I sometimes even get a delicious peanut butter kong popsicle.

There’s something I should tell you…my humans laugh at me sometimes and tell me I was snoring. I probably won’t get to sleep in your bed. As long as we get to take walks together and snuggle on the couch sometimes, I’ll be your best pal!

Hope Animal Rescue has all the details on this pup!
